The 01I Security Officer Core Subjects In-Service DCJS training course is a 4-hour basic security officer training program required to maintain a Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services registrant certification to work as an unarmed security officer or an armed security officer in Virginia.
An unarmed security officer/courier means any person who performs the functions of observation, detection, reporting, or notification of appropriate authorities or designated agents regarding persons or property on the premises that individual is contracted to protect, and who does not carry or have access to a firearm in the performance of their duties.
You must score at least a 70% on this exam to receive a passing grade. You have 90 minutes to complete the exam. You have one (1) attempt to complete the exam. If you fail to pass the course, you will have to purchase the course again.
